Data Entry

  • The data defined using the Data Definition can be captured and modified by several users in parallel. The access to the data is controlled over authorizations. Additionally it is possible to upload data directly from an excel sheet.

    Authorization System

    • Detailed control of access to data objects over a tree structure (similar to a file system)
    • The access to single objects and branches of the tree can be set to read only, read/write or edit (edit only allows changing existing objects but not to add or delete objects)
    • Authorizations can grouped to create different roles (e.g. a project manager role or a QA specialist role)
    • Using data classification access can be controlled even down to a single field (Data Element)

    Manual Data Entry

    • Office like data entry under Windows and Mac OS X
    • Historization allows tracking of all changes
    • Several users at different locations can enter and modify data at the same time

    Example: Project

BeePRM provides each user with the perfect data entry and information display based on the role of the user. A power user may have access to more information and more data entry fields than a normal user. In the example below the project manager has access to the structure customers and the object detail tab “PM”. A project member however only has a pure read only access to the project data and does not see the "PM" tab in the object detail window.

    Example: Financial Plan

Using the Grid (see Data Definition) Excel-like data entry screens can be defined. The example below shows a financial plan. The grayed out cells are read only fields that are calculated automatically. The columns "2010" to "2014ff." are automatically generated based on the selection in the "Start Year" and "End Year" fields..

    Data import from Excel

Using the BeePRM plugin for Excel data can be automatically imported in BeePRM:

    Data import from other systems

Using an Action (see Data Definition) it is possible to import data from other systems directly into the BeePRM database. Actions can be scheduled to be run at defined points in time. That way a data import can be set to run at for example 2:00 am every night.
